A comprehensive, sequential procedural view designed for engineers and site applicators to attain faultless surface integration using KE-100 adhesive compounds.
Prepare the Tile Joints
Ensure the tile adhesive is fully set. Clean the joints and remove dust, debris and excess adhesive before grouting.
Mix the Epoxy Components
Pour Parts A and B into a clean container. Mix thoroughly until both components are completely and evenly blended.
Add Filler Powder
Slowly add Part C filler powder while mixing. Continue until the grout becomes smooth, uniform and free from lumps.
Fill the Tile Joints
Press KE-100 firmly into the joints using a hard rubber grout float. Work in small sections for complete filling.
Remove Excess Grout
Hold the float diagonally to remove excess grout. After it begins to stiffen, clean the tile surface with a suitable sponge or cloth.
Final Surface Cleaning
After approximately 24 hours, clean the tiled surface with soapy water to remove remaining epoxy residue or haze.

- Colour Confirmation: Verify the grout colour matches the client’s desired selection.
- Test a small area with actual tile/stone for possible discolouration.
- Movement Joints: Include proper movement and peripheral joints.
- Use flexible grout or sealant.
- Grout Limitations: KE-100 DUET is a rigid epoxy grout; cannot accommodate movement.
- Lack of movement joints may cause cracks.
- Sun Protection: Cover area for 7 days in open spaces.
- Maintain cover until the pool is filled with water.

Surface Preparation
- Remove dust and debris from grout joints.
- Do not use acid cleaners on tiles.
- Maintain substrate temperature between 60°F (16°C) and 90°F (32°C)
Mixing
- Empty Parts A and B into clean mixing pail.
- Mix with a margin trowel or slow-speed drill mixer until fully blended.
- Pour entire mixture onto plastic-lined working area immediately.
Application
- Use standard epoxy grouting techniques or caulking gun.
- Fill all joints completely.
- Remove excess material before cleaning.
- Do not leave excess grout on tile surface.
Cleaning
- Remove excess grout at 90° with grout float.
- Pull diagonally to avoid pulling out grout.
- After 30–45 minutes, scrub joints with clean water and scrubber.
- Wipe with clean thick towel.
- Final clean within 24 hours using soap detergent solution.
Shelf Life & Limitations
- It is essential to remove the mesh first.
- Also, remove the epoxy layer by light grinding to ensure a perfect bond with the adhesive.
MIXING
- Place clean, potable water into a clean mixing bowl.
- Add Gresbond EX-5 powder into the mixing bowl.
- Use approximately 5 - 5.5 litre of water for 20 kg of powder.
- Mix with a slow-speed mixer to a smooth, trowelable consistency.
- Allow adhesive to slake for 5 minutes.
- Adjust consistency if necessary.
- Remix and apply with the proper sized notched trowel.
